Once the ship modelling school offered me the opportunity, I started working in 3DS Max. Blueprints were needed for wood made boats, which I created with the help of 3DS Max 2006. As time went by, I passed to modelling and compositing TV commercials, conversions from 2D to 3D and occasionally teleshopping clips.
Two years later, after I took my degree, I got involved in "Cosmote Frog", the first important 3D project for Romanian 3D commercials market. It consisted in developing 12 detailed commercial clips that had to include environment, characters, fur maps, complex rigging and character animation. Later I passed on to TV commercials - at one of the largest film production companies in the country.
In 2011, I was offered a Viz Artist post inside a new TV HD News Station. In the development phase the company had used AE CS5 software, later it had it replaced with VizArtist. This new software application also required user's knowledge for 3D modelling, texturing, baking textures for the virtual scenes, and camera tracking. Using my knowledge and previous experience I have created the Viz Object Library and Live Scenes needed by the company from scratch, I would like to mention I was the only 3D modeler in the team - around 15.
Since 2014, I have been working in the automotive domain - design and A-class modelling. Interior and exterior, plastic and foam components, modeling has been done with the help of sketches, design meshes, technical data and scans. Automotive manufacturers I have worked with - Ford DE, JLR UK, BMW DE, Renault RO, Fiat IT, Hyundai DE, Lynk SW.
